Patti: Sharing our Wonderful Memories
Patti was such an amazing person. Her bright spirit affected us all in different, positive ways. In true blog style, I’d like to share some of my wonderful memories of my sister, and invite all of her family and friends to do the same.
I have so many fond memories of my big sister, I don’t know where to start. I guess one of my favorites was when Patti, Barb, and I went to the U2 concert on Patti’s birthday in 2001. We took a limo down to the Wachovia Center and had great seats. All 3 of us knew the words to every song and we had our “Bono” blue sunglasses on. Patti is the reason for my near obsession with U2. That band became a silent, understood bond between my sisters and I.
To this day, every time I hear a U2 song I think of Patti and how much I miss her. U2 has some very powerful song lyrics and I often find that just as I’m approaching my breaking point and feeling down, a U2 song will come on the radio and speak to my heart. In those moments, I truly feel Patti is with me letting me know she’s ok.
